If Only I Knew!

i feel like i've traveled the world,

but truth be told,
i'm stuck in So.Cal. and lovin every minute!
there is not one place i would rather be,
or should i say, there is nowhere else i can go!
which really implys, that i can't leave Dodge!
we all have to pay our dues one way or another,
but when you get my age you would think that
the day would be on some silver platter!
but it ain't!
sorry dude, you're gunna have to wait in line like everyone else!
you know the drill!
been there and still doin it!
i wish at times to run and live the life of Forest Gump!
just live like him, not look like him!

with all the water or sludge under my bridge,
if i would of known that i would be here to this day,
i would of slapped myself so silly that i would of
had to turn myself in to the local authorities!
you know,
take me to the rack!
my past may be my teacher,
but she sure is a hard task master, if you know what i mean?
and if only i would of known,
then the idea of back to the future could pay off huge dividends!
since the gov is far from chippin in to my cause!
